Services Directory
Children's Medical Services is
a Department of Health Children's Medical Services Child Protection Team (CPT)
program. Medically directed, multidisciplinary statewide program designed to
supplement the child protective investigation activities of local Sheriff's
offices and the Department of Children and Family Services in complex cases of
child abuse and neglect.
Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence
was
founded on principles of cooperation and unity among shelters. Today,
FCADV serves as the professional association for Florida's 40 domestic
violence centers. This mission of the Florida Coalition Against Domestic
Violence is to work towards ending violence through public awareness, policy
development, and support for Florida's domestic violence centers.
Florida Council Against Sexual Violence
is
a statewide nonprofit organization committed
to victims and survivors of sexual violence and the rape crisis programs who
serve them.

Florida Network of Children's
Advocacy Centers
works
to improve Florida’s response to child abuse in general and sexual abuse in
particular, while minimizing trauma to children and families. We strive to
support the development, growth, and continuation of Children’s Advocacy
Centers in Florida through technical assistance, training and networking.
Interstate
Commission for Adult Offender Supervision
was created by the states to
ensure cooperative efforts in the transfer of supervised offenders, the
Interstate Commission for Adult Offender Supervision (ICAOS) provides states
and their Commissioners with oversight and assistance in administering the
Interstate Compact for Adult Offender Supervision.
National Center
for Victim's of Crimes
National Organization
for Parents of Murdered Children
provides the ongoing emotional support needed to help parents and other
survivors facilitate the reconstruction of a "new life" and to promote a
healthy resolution. Not only does POMC help survivors deal with their acute
grief, but with the criminal justice system as well.
National Organization
for Victim Assistance
was founded in
1975. It is the oldest national group of its kind in the
worldwide victims’ movement. NOVA’s mission is to promote rights
and services for victims of crime and crisis everywhere.
Office for Victim's of Crimes was established by the 1984 Victims of
Crime Act (VOCA) to oversee diverse programs that benefit victims of crime.
Promote Truth was created by the Rape Recovery Team
at the Women’s Center of Jacksonville in Florida. The project
developed from our desire to help teens become informed about
sexual violence. Whether you have been a victim of sexual
violence yourself, know someone who has, or are just curious
about what you can do to help, it is our hope that this website
helps YOU to become empowered and more aware!
